  I used to love Katie's, but the last four times I visited there were problems. Three times the restaurant was half -filled and yet the hostess said it was a 20 minute wait for a table. Another time she said you could only sit at a bar table if you were sure you were ordering food ( the restaurant was sparse and we often order food, following our drinks). Also, the last three times, they were out of food items and when the food arrived it was too overcooked. The waitress argued with us and said that it couldn't be overcooked. The time they weren't out of our desired item, the shrimp-Danny Boy was 85% lettuce. Though the smiling male bartender is very good, and the blond waitress and the younger female bartender who looks like the blond waitress are good, the rest make the experience less of a pub atmosphere and more militant and uncomfortable. Too restrictive!

  The food was good once we received it. We were a party of 8. It took 15 minutes before a waitress came to get our drink order. We then waited another 40 minutes for our food. This could be understandable if the place was crowded but if wasn't. Waitress never came back for refills either. I will not be returning. I think they care more about the bar area than customers eating.

  Surprisingly good for bar food. I'm a vegetarian so my options here are limited, but there are a few. Convenient to the train station.
